We are delighted to let you know the 2022 Hallé for Youth concerts will be taking place LIVE at The Bridgewater Hall on Tuesday 1st March (10:45 and 13:30), Wednesday 2nd March (10:45) and Thursday 3rd March (10:45) Booking is now open.

The theme for this season of concerts is citizenship. FROM MY CITY celebrates the rich and diverse cultures in the UK, and will consider the importance of being a good citizen within our own local communities, and in the world beyond.

The concerts will be presented by the ever-popular Tom Redmond, and each one will also include a short performance by local school pupils who will be involved in the associated music and dance project. Once again, we will be working with students from The Sheffield College who will film the live action on stage and project it onto a big screen so that everyone in the audience will have a better view of the orchestral instruments.

As usual the demand for tickets is expected to be high, so we would strongly recommend that you book as soon as possible. The concerts are most suitable for pupils in Key Stages 2 and 3 but you are welcome to bring other groups if you feel that the concert would be appropriate for them. Tickets cost £4.00 per person including all accompanying adults.

We are also offering INSET sessions for teachers at Hallé St Peter’s in Ancoats on Thursday 3rd February 2022 at either 1:30pm to 3pm or 4pm to 5:30pm. Hallé Education Director, Steve Pickett and Schools Programme Manager, Jo Brockbank, will work through a variety of simple, creative ideas based on the theme of the concert, for teachers to use in the classroom. The cost of the INSET is £22.00 per person, which includes a pack containing ideas to help you develop your work.

We look forward to seeing you at The Bridgewater Hall for what we feel will be some very exciting and enjoyable concerts.
