MyHub students invited to play on BBC Radio 5 Live

On Friday 18th November, four My Hub students performed traditional Irish music to a live audience at BBC’s studios in Media City to celebrate the announcement that more than £300 million would be made available to help young people from all backgrounds enjoy the benefits of music and the arts. MyHub would like to congratulate performers Elisio Moreno Gomes, aged 10, and Elina Aidoo, aged 9, from St Edmund’s RC School, as well as Patrick Aidoo, aged 11, who played tin whistle and Conaill Durcan, aged 16, who accompanied them on Bodhran. Special thanks also go to their teacher Ange Durcan, who is also music centre director of the Irish Music Centre in Levenshulme.
